You will write the code that underpins every single company initiative, critical to every new product, and have a massive impact on technology choices and product direction. Write the core services and APIs used across multiple platforms and two major brands, and help craft the next generation of apartment finding technology!
Responsibilities
• Help guide and drive the platform into the future
• Care and growth of an extensive JSON API used by the website as well as native apps
• Partner integrations (parsing incoming data feeds, syndicating content out)
• Scam prevention via machine learning
• Internal tools and reporting
• Help scale and develop our growing AWS infrastructure
• Day-to-day Postgres administration as well as query optimization, horizontal partitioning, reliability
• SEO, customer engagement campaigns, other growth initiatives
Desired Skills & Experience
• 5+ year of industry experience or equivalent
• Self motivated do-er of things and solver of problems
• Familiarity with at least one Python ORM library
• Robust knowledge of SQL especially on Postgres
• Query optimization, general performance evaluation/tuning
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs (use and implementation thereof)
• Familiarity and experience with asynchronous programming
• Comfortable (if not fluent) behind a unix terminal
• Third party API integrations
