As a senior member of the Dr. AI team, you'll have resources, autonomy, and the support of other A-players to scale and grow the next generation of the HOPES™ platform and the millions of active patients and doctors on it.
Some of the exciting responsibilities include:
Provide leadership and strategic direction for the design, organization and expansion of our knowledge representations
Discover and refine medical relationships from the ever-expanding repository of medical data
Integrate feedback from expert evaluations on the performance of Dr. AI
Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the medical knowledge-bases
Refine and improve the knowledge-based reasoning algorithms in Dr. AI
Create new algorithms that drive intelligent interactions among members and experts (patients and doctors) of the company.
Collaborate with the Health Informatics Director to incorporate improvements in the underlying consumer and professional health ontologies.
Need to have
You’re passionate about making the world a happier, healthier place
You have formal training and experience in machine learning, AI algorithms, and knowledgebase systems. Ideally, you also have experience with medical data and terminologies.
You have a Ph.D. or Masters in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
You have 3+ years of experience in developing production-quality machine learning or AI software
You have excellent coding skills in one or more of Java, Python, Ruby, and Scala
You have expert-level knowledge of statistical topics such as Bayesian Modeling, Multivariate Regression, Logistic Regression, Cluster Analysis, Decision Analysis, Time-series Analysis and Forecasting, Factor Analysis, Structural Equation Modeling, Item Response Theory, Markov chains, etc.
You don’t stop until the problem is solved
You like extreme ownership
You enjoy educating others: for example, by writing articles and giving talks to fellow engineers about how you used machine learning to power the first global virtual health practice
Nice to have
You are familiar with AWS
You have worked with systems/tools such as MySQL, PySpark, Amazon ML, Spark MLlib, TensorFlow
Working experience in a smaller hyper-growth startup is a plus
