Job Description
We are an innovative fast-growing beauty company headquartered in San Mateo, CA. We are looking for an senior engineer with full stack JavaScript experience to join our growing engineering team. As a full stack JavaScript engineer you will design, build, operationalize, and administer significant parts of our web server, web client, and service service layers. You will work with an evolving mix of both industry standard and cutting edge technologies including Node.js, ReactJS, AWS, microservices architectures, etc. The ideal candidate is hands-on and thrives in a fluid, high-performance, entrepreneurial environment with a passion for learning and innovating.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Nimble self-starter capable of working with new technologies and evolving requirements
- Expert level knowledge of JavaScript in both server and client applications
- Expert level knowledge of ReactJS, AngularJS, or similar client frameworks
- Expert level knowledge of Webpack or similar application composition frameworks
- Experience with API based web application design
- Bachelors in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of another major programming language (Java, Ruby, etc.)
- Experience working with big data (distributed computing and analytics) tools, e.g. Hadoop or Spark
- Experience with AWS
- Experience with event driven architectures and common queueing/stream technologies (AWS SQS, AWS Kinesis, etc.)
- Experience with e-commerce platforms, shopping carts, payment gateways
- Experience with Node.js, Spring, Rails, or other application frameworks
