Senior Software Engineer - Loan Servicing Team

As the SoftwareEngineer on our Loan Servicing team, you will report to the Lead Engineer and build software that moves hundreds of millions of dollars. In addition to the $1+ billion in loans actively serviced, we build tools to maximize our growth while providing the best possible client experience. Our focus is on building a stable platform that allows us to move faster over time; this means an eye for detail, a willingness to rethink domains from first principles, and an ability to collaborate well across technical and non-technical teams. We release on demand, typically 2-3 times per week, which allows our team to continue to improve our own skills as we scale with the rest of the organization.

Ideal background and expertise:

• 5+ years of professional development experience
• Expertise in server-side concepts, e.g. microservices, database, caching, performance, monitoring, and scalability
• Extensive experience with one or more of the following languages: Java, Node.js (ideally both)
• Working experience with databases such as PostgreSQL
• Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery frameworks
• Understanding of Agile/Lean/Kanban practices
• Relevant domain experience developing software for Fintech, Banking, or related Consumer Financial Services companies is a bonus
