QA Lead Engineer
Locations: San Francisco

We are looking for a QA Lead Engineer. This individual will be responsible for ensuring quality of service, quality of data, and compliance of functionality of our MixBANK and MixSCAN platforms. It is a key role in helping the company reach efficiency and scale to clear and distribute millions of DJ mixes/remixes. You will be challenged in an ambitious, ever-evolving organization that values vision, drive, motivation, and flexibility. The positions involves cross functional collaboration, hands on work and management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own and document test procedures
Define and implement testing and verification strategies
Design and implement regression testing
Develop plans for and manage load-testing efforts
Lead and execute test efforts during all stages of development cycles
Collaborate with product management, engineers, to improve testability, automation, and tools
Increase the test coverage to ensure stability and efficiency within MixBANK and MixSCAN platforms
Develop reports and monitoring tools to identify and manage development to release process
Partner with the development and product teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness of test automation
Be the voice of the product and the customers
Research and recommend automation tools and solutions
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
B.S. in CS/EE preferred
5+ years of software development or equivalent test automation experience
5+ years of experience writing test cases and/or test plans
Experience in white-box testing SDKs
Experience in open-source automation testing tools
Experience writing test plans and strategies, executing detailed test cases, reporting test
Experience working in agile development environment
Strong Unix/Linux Shell scripting and network monitoring skills required
Knowledge with hands-on experience in writing SQL and MongoDB queries required
Experience with monitoring/troubleshooting tools like NewRelic and Loggly is a plus
Experience programing in Ruby on Rails, Java and C is a plus
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent analytics skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and present complex concepts cross functionality and to management
Knowledge of entertainment media metadata, EDM music and information architecture principles is preferred
Hands-on experience with digital music technologies and services is preferred
