We are looking for an engineering manager with experience in payments. You will be working a small team, building out and improving our internal payments and recurring billing platform. This role comes with a high degree of autonomy and power to directly impact company's bottom line.
You will:
Lead a team of engineers building out payments systems, processing thousands of transactions per day
Build tools to fight fraudulent transactions and chargebacks
Manage integrations with third party services
Work directly with product, finance, analytics and other department stakeholders
Build automations to prevent problem recurrence
Partner with UX design and product to drive your team’s roadmap
Provide strong technical feedback to engineers on the team through code reviews, technical design reviews and collaborative problem solving
Develop engineers on the team, helping them grow in their technical abilities
Respond to on-call requests in a timely manner to resolve issues in real time
Contribute to company wide engineering initiatives as a member of the engineering management team

Have managed teams that develops critical systems
Are deeply technical and data driven
Understand industry best practices for improving authorization rates
Have an understanding of PCI compliance
Understand the central tenets of revenue recognition
Have worked with International payment methods
Experience with sales tax and VAT
