Overview
We're a fast-growing, well-funded, big-hearted fintech start-up. Our current team of about 35-40 people is expanding and we’re in need of some serious design muscle. You’ll be our first significant design hire and will work directly with our Head of Product and our Creative Director (a co-founder), so, you need to be comfortable being a team of one who is also expected to lead and own a significant body of work. This is a great opportunity to get in early and add your imprint to the company and to how people save for their own futures.
Responsibilities
Own our online customer touchpoints
Work directly with Product and Engineering to conceive, prototype, test, iterate, and finalize online product experiences
Participate in and contribute to Product development discussions
Fine-tune final wireframes from preliminary wireframes provided by PMs
Create rapid prototypes for proof-of-concept and client presentations
Hands-on generation of concept through hand-off to our Dev team (plus redline)
Self-direct and manage projects
Help formalize, create, and maintain visual and interactive Pattern Libraries
Requirements
5+ years of web product design experience
Strong online portfolio
Demonstrable mastery of UI design, with a good grasp of UX/IA design
HTML/CSS knowledge
Technically savvy in responsive web-focused product design
Strong design workflow tool skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Zeplin, etc.)
Prototyping skills (Marvelapp/InVision)
Experience working with design leadership, product managers, and engineers
