Job Description

(Could be co-founder role) - Hands on firmware design leader who will take firmware from early prototyping to Beta and shipped product
Ability to enforce a clear collaborative and constructive culture in the team you will hire and create as we grow
You have a passion to wearables/IoT and the future of connected products
Solid expereince designing real-time firmware for embedded consumer electronics hardware based on ARM Nordic, Qualcomm or similar, experience in this area is critical requirement.
Will write code with best known design and code management practices for embedded devices and BLE with well written documentation, test, automation and release processes.
Designing algorithms and DSP processes to process and aggregate data from digital and analog sensors
Strong debugging design and techniques with strong knowledge on how to use oscilloscope, logic analyzer, and other tools to help debug hardware and firmware in lab and the field.
Ability to lead and manage team members as team grows.
Act as the firmware goto person for all teams in the company to interact with including CEO, VPs and others.
Work closely with engineers on the design and operation of proprietary hardware and firmware, and validate quality of all externally provided modules
Evaluate, review, and integrate third-party sensors from concept, applicability verification, design, testing to shipping.

Qualifications

You are an Intuitive leader who can work as one person team, capable of creating a successful team, and able to manage team members.
10+ years of embedded firmware using C language on ARM processors - preferably Nordic, Qualcomm and others. Knowledge of mobile Apps is highly preferable.
5+ years working with digital and analog sensors - preferably in the consumer electronics sector.
5+ years design firmware for best power management and performance optimization
3+ years designing and developing BLE communications with two and more devices concurrently.
You have a Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years or Masters with 7+ years of expereince in computer science and/or Electrical/Electronics engineering
Must have strong ability to debug, use advanced debugging tools and development tool chain to address deep toughest bugs and resolve with highest quality - measured by how many times same bug is re-opened
Strong knowledge of different processors, A/D, sensors in the market and trade offs in reference to the design challenges.
Able to work in the US with proven documentation (citizen, green card or similar)
Highly preferable recent expertise in IoT or wearables with proven success record
Familiar with regulatory compliance testing (UL, FCC) and manufacturing testing
