We recently named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 list, stops cyber threats by controlling the lateral movement of unauthorized communications through its breakthrough adaptive segmentation technology. The company’s Adaptive Security Platform visualizes application traffic and delivers continuous, scalable, and dynamic policy and enforcement to every bare-metal server, VM, container, and VDI within data centers and public clouds. Using us, enterprises such as Morgan Stanley, Workday, Plantronics, Salesforce, NetSuite, Oak Hill Advisors, and Creative Artists Agency have achieved secure application and cloud migration, environmental segmentation, compliance and high-value application protection from breaches and threats with no changes to applications or infrastructure.
We are looking for motivated and passionate engineers to join the Platform area of the Policy Compute Engine (PCE), the central brain of our Adaptive Security Platform product. Our Platform team is growing and owns the core of the Policy Compute Engine. This covers platform frameworks and infrastructure for our service-oriented architecture. The key aspects include cluster management, high availability, caching and persistence layers, API support, background jobs, reporting infrastructure, authentication and authorization, and more. We focus on the important aspects of scale and performance of the system to meet the demands of our customers. This includes system responsiveness and performance while maintaining active connections to tens of thousands of managed servers. We also build features that the rest of the product relies upon, such as interactions with our managed servers (VENs) and the resulting workload lifecycle management.
With us, we design systems and write code that runs both in our own multi-tenant cloud service and in customer data centers around the world. As an engineer in the Platform team, we expect you to have a broad system understanding, work with, and introduce new components as required. We are looking for someone who has built platform frameworks, used databases (experience with PostgreSQL is a bonus) and designed RESTful APIs for performant and scalable distributed systems. We seek self-driven engineers who want to be hands-on, deliver infrastructure and product features. We see you as an owner and expert in various parts of the codebase, both, before and after releases and embody our ‘Customers First’ philosophy. We are looking for an engineer who’ll own the design and implementation, ask the right questions, articulate design trade-offs and propose solutions. We value the ability and desire to learn, to mentor junior engineers and to collaborate with peers and leaders in our organization.
We write unit and integration tests before we hand off our high-quality code to QA. And we’re kept honest by a world-class QA team who’ll let us know if it isn’t. We use a variety of open source technologies in our platform including Active Record, HAProxy, Memcached, Redis and Consul. As we move forward with our roadmap, we are looking for someone who can work with these technologies and build upon them, as well as suggest and lead us towards new technologies as required.
We are a start-up with tight deadlines and a dynamic, challenging environment. Our guiding philosophy as we grow is to focus, ship high quality products while having fun, and practice disciplined engineering.
