We’re seeking an exceptional Software Engineer to join us within the Operations subteam as we define, prototype, and build web services and products for our customers and for us. Those who join this team are passionate about working with cross-functional partners to scale us to 50+ cities. Within Operations, you'll get to experience the hard problems of scaling a business and building an organization. We embrace entrepreneurs as well as those who come from more established organizations.
Your responsibilities include:
Build services from scratch, as well as develop existing applications
Guide the team in making intelligent and pragmatic technical trade-offs
Design and implement user-facing products and internal workflow tools
Apply deep understanding of web technologies to reason about engineering / design tradeoffs
Become a domain expert in real estate
We’re looking for teammates who have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
Deep understanding of front-end technologies, HTTP, web services, databases and how they all fit together
Expertise in one or more object oriented programming language (e.g Java, Go) or front-end technologies such as Node.js, React and Angular along with the eagerness to learn more
A sense of ownership for everything you ship
An ability to break down complex business problems and work towards/lead a team in solving them
Focus on rapid delivery without sacrificing technical excellence
Care for modular, performant, and testable code
Bonus points:
A passion for learning new technologies and different ways to solve problems
You love delighting customers with honest, transparent products and experiences
