Duties and Responsibilities
What the job involves:
Design and expand our UI and all associated middle-stack pieces such as the API. You'll be interfacing to a custom-built "big data" columnar database that ingests tens of millions of rows per second. You'll be building the UI to display network traffic (real-time and historical), routing visibility (BGP), anomaly detection/mitigation (DDoS), configuration management, and network monitoring.
Work with UX folks to determine the skin and UI flow.
Work with customers, product development, and solutions engineers on a regular basis to define and support our products.
Work with the backend team to determine and develop API's and best methods for the frontend and backend to interact.
Determine, prioritize, and handle your own workload (with clear vision from leadership).
Assist and scope development-team systems, structures, CI tools, and QA methods.
Create and contribute to open-source projects.
Along the way you’ll be immersed in BGP, routers, TCP, NetFlow, Internet attacks, and large scale network monitoring. And you’ll learn just about everything there is to know about how the bits flow on the Internet.
