We’re looking for a Senior Android Engineer to help build our native application within our Farm Management Software (FMS). You will be an early, senior member of our US mobile development team. You will contribute to and lead new mobile feature work as well as advancing our mobile architecture and frameworks. You will work closely with other mobile developers (in the US and Romania) as well as web application and backend engineers.

What you will do:
Contribute to and lead Android projects from feature conceptualization, through technical design to deployment.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, designers and test engineers
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the mobile team
Deliver well-designed, maintainable solutions in a Lean/Agile environment
Produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration
Our ideal candidate:
5+ years of software development experience, with at least 3 years professional experience with enterprise Android applications.
Proven experience in shipping high-quality applications to the Android App Stores
Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android.
Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices. Strong user-centric design orientation with the ability to fill in design gaps.
Practical experience in communicating enterprise applications, including experience dealing with real world complexities including different device capabilities, location tracking, battery life, performance tuning and syncing with unreliable network coverage, etc.
Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services. Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
Cross platform (Android + iOS) and full stack (Mobile + Web + Backend) experience a plus.
B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
