We are hiring a number of Software Engineers who will work alongside our hardware team to enable execution of advanced AI algorithms on our hardware. This is the opportunity for those without deep learning experience to jump into the AI world at a company pushing AI into everything and developing solutions 100x better than the competitors. We are building out tools, compilers, and diagnostics and are adding engineers to our team that have a variety of skills across the CS and EE spectrum. This role will work across boundaries within the company -- chip, hardware, software, and compiler -- to apply numerical optimization, operations research, statistical analysis and heuristic strategies that will aid the design of our hardware, compilation of neural networks, and efficient execution at the edge in constrained environments.
This role will involve statistical analysis of performance data, mathematical models, and complex systems and data sets. It will work along side of, and collaborate with, other software engineers implementing optimization and modeling software. The critical components of our optimization loop rest in manipulation and transformation of neural networks to a custom hardware backend. We have some existing infrastructure in C++ and are exploring opportunities to extend some functionality with Rust.

Responsibilities Will Include:
Develop thorough understanding of the various architectural and software tradeoffs and how to jointly optimize for final metrics.
Collaborating with both hardware and software teams to build optimization flows, tools, and processes
Collaborate with compiler team on optimizing throughput, resource utilization, and power consumption
Creating and validating mathematical models, simulations and algorithms
Learning about deep neural networks and AI in the process
BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, CS, Math, Statistics or any other related technical area that has a strong mathematics background
At least 2+ years of applied statistics and/or mathematical modeling/analysis
Experience writing software in python, C++11/14, Rust or similar language (we generally use Python and C++)
Experience collecting and analyzing data
