Our Engineering designs and sells mounting systems for the solar industry called Single Axis Trackers. Our "All Terrain Tracker" is unique in that it enables installation on ungraded terrain which triples the amount of land available for developers, reduces construction costs by 15% or more, and increases power generation vs. conventional solar power plants by up to 32%. Our ATT solution is a combination of software, hardware, and mechanical systems. We have achieved tremendous advances in each part of our solution, and we are looking to hire an embedded systems engineer to help with development of our controls hardware and software.
We have a commercially-ready product, is backed by angel funding and $3.8M of DOE SunShot and California Energy Commission grants, has strong sales traction with large industry developers, and has an aggressive growth strategy. We are a nimble team comprised of scientists, engineers, and salespeople focused on the goal of improving sustainability of the solar industry.
We are looking for an embedded systems engineer. In this position you will make a huge contribution to the development of the next generation of solar power plants. Solar experience is helpful, but is not required.
Activities for this position may include:
~ Design, prototype, and troubleshoot PCBs for various nodes of our control system.
~ Design embedded Linux systems for various nodes of our control system.
~ Develop microcontroller firmware.
~ Work together with our controls engineer and solar scientist to establish requirements and create specifications for hardware designs.
~ Help with installation and testing at test and customer sites.
