Help us build the architecture for the next century of finance as we bring 1 billion people onto AI-driven mobile money systems.
**We are a pre-funding startup (raising now) so there is no guarantee that this position will be a paid one right away - we're looking for an early team member (and will definitely be paying you once we raise) who wants to work with us while we raise.
We’re looking for a developer who is an expert at back-end database infrastructure (MySQL on AWS), but who can also help with front-end mobile development using React Native. We are connecting up a chatbot to a money-management platform and will need users to access the application on both iOS and Android. The app is much more than a typical financial chatbot and has a lot of dynamic content that has to be generated on the front - using lots of data on the backend.

Hive and Hadoop (MapReduce for faster data queries)
Plaid, Finicity, or Yodlee API’s

Being that we're building a financial technology platform - we hope candidates to have real-world experience building financial products, including have knowledge of the security protocols for banking, POS, and money transfer systems (PCI compliance).

How would you connect every transaction and chat message, click, and intention that a user makes on a mobile device to an algorithm that can track their financial needs in the future? You’ll be creating an AI-based money management system that uses personalized financial data for predictive analysis (for spending) and notifications.
We expect you to be comfortable in both iOS and Android development and it would be great if you have an interest in products for low-bandwidth environments . We’re also looking for someone who has a growing interest and technical familiarity with artificial intelligence and integrating AI architecture into database structures.
It would be a plus if you have some experience with Natural-Language-Processing, and familiarity with Tensorflow. We expect to be a big data company so your opinions around Hive / Hadoop and using data for behavioral insights is important.

Our MVP is an iOS application built using IBM Bluemix (Conversations API) and the Plaid API (for financial information) hosted on AWS and Firebase.
We are not a blockchain company, but if you have opinions on things like smart contracts, ledgers, and money-transfer protocols, and remittances, we’d love your input!
